It was an important day as Walking Tall and Veterans battle it out to be the half-season leaders, while Snipers and Fast&Furious are trying to avoid the last position. However, this was the first day of Season VII where we had to wish our luck 20 players appeared. The first two matchdays were filled with 26 players total but at 19:20, total players were just 18. But as we never doubt our friends love of the game, when finally 22 players came with Jackrin hitting court the latest at 20:30. We applaud everyone's spirit and we hope this'll be another of our successful seasons. Here are the match results:
Match 1 : Walking Tall (19) 42 : 71 (33) Veterans
Walking Tall: Victor 13 pts., Karun & Mark 12pts.
Veterans: Dev 21 pts., Vikram & Jai 18 pts.
After only 2 players hit the starting line-up for Veterans on matchday 2, all the players responded with 7 players present at the start. In the other hand, all the guards for Walking Tall have gone missing with only Karun present. The game might possibly a mighty contest between the Titans, but the match was really decided upon the guard positions. With a shortage of guards, Walking Tall had to let their towers run the point guard to which under pressure, spilled too many turnovers leading to Veterans easy fast break points. With Dev displaying master theft skills and Jai running the chicken, the story was just over early in the first half.
Match 2 : Snipers (24) 45 : 50 (27) Fast & Furious
Snipers: Michael 16 pts., Robin 14 pts.
Fast&Furious: Joe 14 pts., Trin 12 pts.
With Fast & Furious having only 3 people present at court, loan signings Joe & James were drafted to both fill the void and maximize the whole people's playing time. The couple were crucial in the victory as for once, Fast & Furious had a complete position in their starting line-up with both of them grabbing numerous rebounds and scoring half of Fast&Furious total score. Though Snipers were outrebounded for most of the game, they made up with their accute shooting skills. With the game tied at 43-43, it was Trin, making his 2th career appearance, who hit two free throws and a crucial 3 pointer in between a Michael 16-footer that gave Fast & Furious a commanding 48-45 lead en route to their firt victory.
